Environmental Scientist

Description

  • Field investigations including wetland and stream delineations and assessments, forest delineations, and species surveys.

  • Post-construction monitoring of stormwater best management practices.

  • Provide environmental construction monitoring.

  • Water quality monitoring

  • Coordinate with state & local agencies.

  • NEPA compliance and environmental permit documentation.

  • Create ArcGIS maps for use in the field, collect field GPS data; and conduct geo-processing analyses.

  • Summarize data and write technical reports.

  • Review and organize project data and program documentation.

  • Other tasks associated with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and policies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience including field work

  • BS in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Geology, Hydrology, or a related field

  • Training in forest, wetland, and/or stream assessment

  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation

  • Proficiency in MS Office computer software (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)

  • Water quality or environmental construction monitoring experience preferred but not required.

  • NEPA compliance & environmental permit documentation, preferred but not required.

  • Agency coordination and permitting experience, preferred but not required.

  • Good teamwork skills, self-motivation, and good communication skills are required.

Water Resources Engineer

Description

RIVUS is seeking a Water Resource Engineer to perform environmental analysis, watershed studies, and/or stormwater management design projects. Duties may include GIS mapping, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and/or engineering plans. Knowledge of drainage, best management practices, and watershed restoration is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Planning, or Engineering with 1-5 years inwatershed planning, site development, stormwater management design, or floodplain studies.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year plus attractive benefits
