Summary
RIVUS is assisting the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) with establishing, maintaining and implementing a robust GIS program within the department. RIVUS manages and integrates data, assesses and streamlines DPW&T's protocol and needs, and assists in implementing GIS applications on various infrastructure projects.
Scope of Services
RIVUS provides (a) database management including updating and entering data generated by DPW&T, maintaining and updating databases, GIS shape files, and geo-databases for County infrastructure including roadways, bridges, traffic safety, drainage, and stormwater management, (b) assists and trains DPW&T staff in the use of ArcGIS Online to improve data collection and generation of data by field personnel conducting site visits and to allow simultaneous field data collection/condition assessment, (c) assists DPW&T Project Managers by generating relevant information for County projects including developing drainage maps, mapping of water, sewer, storm drain, gas, electric, and other utilities, developing exhibits for easement and ROW needs, creating maps for public viewing/council meeting/other departmental reviews, (d) assists DPW&T Project Managers with mapping, tracking, and reporting MPDES, MS4 Permit Needs and tracking for other permits to ensure permit compliance, and (e) coordinates with and trains DPW&T staff in GIS technology.
